The fee includes RentMyHype’s commission and payment processing. Your own taxes and fees charged separately by your bank remain your responsibility. Currency conversion may apply to cross-currency payments or payouts.

- Bidding holds, it does not charge. Your card is authorized for your bid amount. The money stays yours until closing. Each new bid must be at least 10% above the current leader, rounded up to the next cent.
- Outbid costs you nothing. The hold is released as soon as a higher bid takes the lead. No charge means no refund to wait for and no processing fee lost — by you or by us. Your bank may take a few days to show the hold disappearing.
- No buyer service fee. A winning brand pays its bid amount.
- An auction runs for at most 7 days. A card authorization is guaranteed for about a week, so the bidding window stays inside it. Your event can be much further off.
- Legacy auctions keep their terms. Existing pay-now auctions are labelled on their checkout page. Outbid payments are refunded in full; RentMyHype absorbs the associated processing costs.
